Nutrition is fundamental for the right intake of lean proteins, balanced fats, vitamins and minerals. The right intake of all these nutrients will give you the right energy (physical and mental), to support you throughout the rehabilitation process. This can happen only with a personalised plan that only a health coach can give you. We may suffer from the same issue, but since we are all different for back ground, age and fitness level, we cannot follow a general advice about our health.
I come from Italy where we grew up with a Mediterranean diet and, coming from a sport background, I know how food is important to fuel our body and provide energy for our activities.
During my physiotherapy journey for recovering from knee surgeries, I saw people struggling with the recovery path due to a wrong or unbalanced diet, because many people underestimate how important it is to provide your body with the right combination of nutrients. This is not just important for your recovery journey, but this will become your "way to be", because you will understand how important it is to eat well your entire life, exercise regularly and feeling great! This will also strengthen your body and increase your life expectancy, since you will help your body to avoid different health issues.
